One screen suits one person or a couple who watch together. If people in your home watch different things at the same time, count the screens that are on at once and pick that number.
Length is mostly about price. One month is good for a first real test after the trial. The 12-month plan brings the cost down to $5.00 a month and is the one most customers keep.
